geeze…good tossup between the Christmas [Orphanage] drive (COD), volleyball (BVB) and Improv. So many good moments from all those events. tons

Jeju- love it! Jeju is full of lovely, inspiring, amazing people. And its landscape is a beautiful playground.

get out there and do stuff. Paint, dance, do yoga, learn to cook new food, hike, there’s so so many people to meet and things to do in Jeju. Sure, take your first few days here and eat the kimbob at GS25, go home after work and crank the aircon/floor heat. But after those 2 days- get out and get on the go!

I have a friend who once said “go your own way and do your own thing. “ This is in reference to venturing out into the world to follow your nose, follow your heart; it’s a tune I’ve always danced to. What I’ve learned in Jeju is that you’re never alone in doing “your own” thing. There are many others who want to share in what you do…and life becomes what We do. We. Together. I’ve learned that when you take the first step others will be right beside you. It’s a beautiful lesson for me and I’ve learned it in Jeju.

the first Furey event that I participated in was beach volleyball back in 2010.

The past few years I’ve helped with the Orphanage drive. This last year I’ve helped with the Improv Night.

I guess I did in the process of helping Yolandi get her idea up and running. She mentioned to me that she wanted to do a theatre type night and I jumped all over it like a pig in poop.

I love that it gets cool people together to do cool things. It’s love spreading love. Can’t beat that!

So many. Really, so so many great little moments of seeing people smile together.

Some sort of art space, instillation, and music night type thing-there’s some great stories on Jeju that can be told on a summer’s night. And a fun run event where people are full of mud, paint, water, chocolate and smile at the end.
