Waiver, Release and Idemnification *

_ In checking this box, I am undersigning and hereby acknowledge and agrees as follows: I hereby consent to forever generally and completely release and discharge and shall indemnify and hold harmless Jeju Furey and its owners, volunteers, administrators, executives, and sponsors and each other party affiliated with Jeju Furey and each of its owners, agents, directors, officers, employees, sponsors and partners (collectively, "Equipment Providers") against and from any and all claims and demands of every kind and nature whatsoever, for damages or injuries, actual or consequential, past, present or future, arising out of or in any way related to the Jeju Furey beach volleyball net system (and all related equipment), including but not limited to any claims of injury from participating in OR observing the tournament, the loss of personal property by theft or otherwise during the use of the equipment, any (negative) publicity relating to the use, or any fines, damages, charges against, violations of any regulations or laws or directives. The undersigned acknowledges that of its own free will the undersigned has chosen to participate in the tournament and related activities. I understand and acknowledge that the aforementioned equipment carries with it a high level of risk of injury, risk of fines, risk of damages, and additional hazards related thereto. I certify that I am aware of, and accept, these increased risks and that I am mentally and physically prepared for the risks associated with the equipment. This general release shall further apply to all unknown, unanticipated, unsuspected, and undisclosed claims, demands, liabilities, actions or causes of action, in law, equity or otherwise. This Waiver shall bind the heirs, personal representatives, and successors of the undersigned, and inure to the benefit of the Equipment Providers. I further agree that any violation of - or failure to comply with - local or national directives (particularly concerning the COVID-19 / Corona virus pandemic) may result in full forfeiture of the entire security deposit.

No matter what, you are required to return the net within 24 hours of receiving it.

Terms and Conditions

1. Missing or damaged equipment

2. Lateness (for pick-up of net or drop-off of net)

3. Cleaning the equipment

Furey will retain the security deposit until the piece(s) of equipment are replaced. The unused portion of the security will be refunded following the replacement of the damaged or missing equipment.

Zero tolerance. If you are late (i.e. not present at the agreed upon location at the agreed upon time), 24,000krw will be withheld from your security deposit.

Furey will retain 20,000krw from your security deposit if the equipment is not thoroughly cleaned with the brush and wiped-down/dried with the quick-dry towel which are provided. (see FAQ)

How do you setup the net?

In order to buy the Cobra Net System we had to borrow money ( ≈ 500,000krw) from Jeju Furey's Build Permanent Courts at Hameok Fund. So we have to pay back that loan. If money's been raised under one auspice it can't be appropriated for another. However, since progress on getting permanent courts was so slow we figured that at the rate it was going we could afford to borrow the money and we'd be able to pay it back before the funds would be needed to build the permanent courts.

Three reasons:
1. Protect the investment. This is an expensive product and replacing it won't be cheap, so we need to people to take the rental of this equipment seriously, and to take care of it.

2. Finding replacement parts may be hard or impossible, so we don't want people being careless when they use it. Unfortunately, in our experience too many people are too careless with equipment that doesn't belong to them.

3. We need to deter people from being late in returning the net. We are all volunteers and nobody wants to use up their free time waiting around and Jeju Furey doesn't want to go chasing after people to pay a late charge.

for the same reason you soak a wetsuit in fresh water after it's been in salt water; to protect the equipment. Sand, particularly wet sand, erodes the equipment and thereby decreases its longevity.
