Furey will retain the security deposit until the piece(s) of equipment are replaced. The unused portion of the security will be refunded following the replacement of the damaged or missing equipment.
Zero tolerance. If you are late (i.e. not present at the agreed upon location at the agreed upon time), 24,000krw will be withheld from your security deposit. Furey will retain 20,000krw from your security deposit if the equipment is not thoroughly cleaned. (see FAQ) |

Why do we have to rent it, why can't we just borrow it?

In order to buy the Croquet we had to borrow money we had to invest 60,000krw which is why we require a security deposit. That way, if the set is damaged, we can order a new set.
Three reasons: 1. Protect the investment. This is not a product that can be easily found in Jeju or Korea and is relatively expensive to have shipped hear from overseas. So, we need to people to take the rental of this equipment seriously, and to take care of it. 2. Finding replacement parts may be hard or impossible, so we don't want people being careless when they use it. Unfortunately, in our experience too many people are too careless with equipment that doesn't belong to them. 3. We need to deter people from being late in returning the net. We are all volunteers and nobody wants to use up their free time waiting around and Jeju Furey doesn't want to go chasing after people to pay a late charge. for the same reason you soak a wetsuit in fresh water after it's been salt water; to protect the equipment. Mud, in particular, erodes the equipment and thereby decreasing its longevity. |
